Position Summary

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of an International enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure. This is an operations role, and this individual must be able to demonstrate experience in enterprise network administration (routers, switches, and firewalls), configuration, troubleshooting and implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, integrate and implement information systems infrastructure projects, including networks and software applications to support the company's strategic objectives. Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, change management and security controls.
• Perform network design and implementation of architected network solutions in a client server environment to include networking hardware, software, protocols, and communication standards. Monitors, analyzes and reports network traffic patterns, utilization of dedicated telecommunications equipment.
• Provides support and guidance to Help Desk and IT systems engineers. Coordinates special projects related to the information systems areas and assumes additional duties and responsibilities as directed.

Education and Experience

• Broad-based knowledge of software, hardware, network architecture and dedicated telecommunications equipment.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Ethernet, Routing, Switching, VLAN / VLAN Trunking and TCP/IP.
• Demonstrate intermediate technical knowledge of Linux, Windows 2000/2003 networking, DNS and telecommunications.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, decision-making and problem resolution skills. Ability to identify and implement creative solutions required to maintain exceptional level of customer service and responsiveness.
• Three to five years experience supporting networks and related systems.
