Nomadix Service Engine Gateway

As the on-premise portion of the Nomadix Cloud solution, the gateway is the front line in the creation and support of the hotel network. The gateway enables hotel operators to truly control and enhance the guest experience by supporting and enforcing multiple onboarding and authentication methods and by implementing a full bandwidth management suite that ensures guests and conferences get the bandwidth they demand.

Roles-based Access

User accounts can be configured to allow varying access levels for front desk personnel, MSPs and owners. Access is constrained so each login is appropriately limited in data that can be viewed and actions taken based on the credentials provided.

Status and Reporting

Status of external integrations systems such as the PMS server, current and active subscriber counts and bandwidth usage are all tracked and reported. Configuration status of system hardware components, including access points, switches and gateways is also accessible.

System alerts can be sent via email to stakeholders such as front desk personnel, engineers, or MSPs, ensuring issues are known and can be addressed, often before becoming guest-affecting. Trouble tickets can be created, tracked and resolved from the dashboard.

Customizable reports on usage, throughput, enrollments, and more are available, all of which can be generated on the spot, or emailed automatically.

Conference Room Scheduler

The Nomadix Cloud Conference Room Scheduler provides easy-to-use tools that give IT managers and internal and external conference organizers the capability to configure conference access and bandwidth solutions appropriate for their event, taking this burden off the MSP.

The Conference tool allows conference creation and editing based on the needs of the different conferences. Different conference spaces at a site can be set-up and managed at the same time. The calendar shows upcoming, current, and past conferences.

Different access levels and bandwidth controls of the conferences allows priority and limitations of not just the bandwidth but also the number of devices that can share a conference.

Conference reports can be generated during a conference or once a conference has ended. The dashboard to quickly see the current conferences and utilization during the conferences.

Security

The Nomadix gateway creates a separate network securing the back of house network from guest traffic. Features like session rate limiting and the fact that the majority of guests are automatically translated reduces threats automatically, simply by including the gateway in your network. In addition, personal information is not stored locally to keep guest information secured. The use of an embedded OS also limits the security risks.
