Emerging Media Group
(EMG) is a new type of media consultancy that provides
digital content services to emerging entertainment
platforms such as online, mobile,
and IPTV providers and also to more traditional platforms such as cable,
satellite and
other video-on-demand providers.
With offices in Los Angeles and London, we utilize proven and well established relationships with
the major Hollywood & independent studios, film and television producers, TV networks, sports owners,
music labels, distribution companies and new media partners to structure, negotiate and close digital
content deals for you. Our relationships allow us to license content and acquire rights for both US
and international distribution.
Although our core competency is with the acquisition of content across multiple licensing windows
— everything from Hollywood movies and network & cable TV shows to short-form content, live sport
and music — we also are able to help our clients with other content related services such as technical
evaluation of DRM strategies ready for studio approval and fund raising for start-up and early stage
digital media companies.
We also offer strategic marketing services to brands, channels, talent and rights holders in the post internet age. In this new consumer-centric, multi-channel market, EMG can utilize its future vision, consumer insight and technical expertise to advise brands on how best to connect profitably with entertainment content providers and rights holders.
EMG is also different in how it earns its fees. We don't charge high monthly retainers like
traditional consultancies, but base 80% of our revenue on successfully completing projects. We are
also keen to earn equity, and where appropriate, will happily negotiate a deal structure that
protects our client's cash flow by minimizing the cash component.
So if you are looking for a consultancy to help you drive margin by negotiating best of class terms
with the studios and other content providers, then please contact Richard Jenkins in Los Angeles or
Chris Thomas in London immediately and schedule a preliminary discussion.
